Default 1990 4DR Acura Integra

Since I'm new to modifying and just want to start out with the basics. What should I start out with? I don't want to do anything heavy to the car yet. Should I do something with the engine to start out with? I do not want to take out the back seats as I still use the car for regular day-to day use. So what are your guys' opinions, how should I get started?

interesting how this is your first post and you joined in june 2004.
my opinion would be to first look at the engine and drivetrain. what do you need to make the engine more efficient and have more power ( cold air intake, exhaust, chip etc. ).If you shop at the right place you can get well engineered adn high quality parts for cheap. if you can get better milage and more power at the same time even better. if you want to go for looks all i can say is keep it clean and simple.

Well actually I didn't post because I was just looking at videos and stuff like that. Anyways thanks for the advice, and do you any good shops around your area? Since I live in Edmonton I'm going to be travelling down to Calgary around March, and maybe I could pick up some stuff there.

You can always do the minor stuff. Cold Air Intake, Cat-Back exhaust, Pulley, Headers. There's so many ways you can undertake your project

wait wait wait...everyone is getting a head of themselves...

man you have a 15 year old car...make sure it runs good before you mod it... then go for the good ol IHE..... Intake , Header, Exhaust. that is the best way to get ur start its easy it makes ur car run better and maybe even faster. just make sure ur car is in good running condition before you really work on it...change ur plugs maybe ur wires change ur oil. check all ur fluids but that is the biggest mistake we get down at the shop people want these cars modded but we need to do routine stuff or ur gonna be back with a broken something and its that much harder to fix later on then.

I agree with jdm, change all your fluids to synthetic (tranny, differential, engine). Change oil and gas filters, replace sparkplugs and wires, O2 sensor etc. Look under the whole car to see if you can replace any thing that is torn (CV joint boots or something).
