i dont know too much about rotaries but in general you want more air and better combustion so...what do you have for the rest of your exhaust after the header? try to find possibly and MSD ignition kit and some nice wires and spark plugs to go with it. Another good thing would be to try and find a chip for it. an 86 is pretty old but lots of people tune rotaries so there should be something out there. hope that helped

You need to port that donk if you want a substantial powergain. Because your a non turbo, you can get a big bridgeport. You will also need to get a new exhaust system to suit the porting, Eg. long primarys which merge to 3 inch over the diff and a bigh ass muffler to shut it up. An ecu re program will also be required to feed such a thirsty beast. Expect 280hp with that mod if done right..

Do Intake, Exhaust, flywheel, 4.30 rear gears. That would be a good gain. Porting on the n/a's is iffy. U lose a lot of low end but get it back up top. If u do port it, u might need different injectors. Normally w/ the n/a they run rich anyway, so u should be ok.

teamfc3s is the best forum in the world.
rx7club is filled with a lot of flamers. a full bridge won't idle for shit, get a half bridge, full exhaust, intake, lower geared rear end, some bigger injectors, and make sure your 5th and 6 ports are opening correctly. enjoy. |
