heres my exp from driving weld diff everyday.

you will feel a push from cornering (that also means understeer is lurking tryin to getcha)

help smoothn out some bumpy roads

help you get up high entrance/entries (instead of doin the one wheel burnout)

expect a lot of tire chirping

you wont spinout like that guy said ,but be careful in the rain. (pls dont do donuts on the middle of intersection. police might think its me but i know its that 86 guy! bastard)

my tire is fine from 12K+ mile (might be more)& from never rotatin tires, but it is aligned properly.

low maintenance , no special fluid to buy. just reg gear oil.

chatter from low speed corning (really low like 5mph, also depends on the pavement)

open diff is prefered, cant (or difficult) weld vlsd or any type of lsd.

etc etc... i got tired

id only use a welded diff or spool on a drag vechicle or off highway vechicle that sees very limited street use, it puts alot of stress on things and it WILL increase tire wear severly, dont listen to some crap off a nissian drift forum

thats exactly what im worried about, because ive heard welded diffs tend to cause you to oversteer on the smalliest turns even if u barely gas it

i settled down with my driving, drifting is only for the track for me, and i will have to make sure no parked cars are around, and full warn people not to park their cars within 1 mile of track lol
would also be good if nobody else is on the track hahahaha

oh and i know a few peaple personally with welded and spooled diffs, so i know how they act on the road, i thought of gettin a spool for my cheroke but decided against it, maybee if it was a off road only rig

so daily driving on a open welded diff on public roads AND freeway everyday is a no-no then right?

it can be done, but it tends to become a nusence

its not bad, i mean its a constant 2 way, depending on who welds it it can be reliable. bad in the rain only because you will slide everywhere (what i like)

well from personal experience the car will be awesome and very easy to loose her ass , you'll score more parked cars lol , but not reliable i know a guy who had a welded diff somethin broke on a curb one wheel stopped and fliped the car ...
