Wedling your differential is stupid and unreliable leading to dangerous, yeah its fun to get the vibe of a vicious LSD or fully locked diff, but it can turn around very easily, if the welds brake very bad things can happen (i'll leave it to your imagination) but all the power will suddenly just throw its self to the other side.
If you want to play around, lighten the lockers, the diff will stay locked for a longer time and higher speed instead of releasing after a certain speed (light lockers will hold on longer as the centrifuge force will let them hold on longer) but dont weld it seriously, look into detroit lockers or other options, you can salvage lots of parts from the JY from Jeeps and so on (*ask rob for which diffs rock and which crack) example: volvos run on Dana's hmmm, all jeeps run on Dana's?? Some even have vaccum locks!!! cheers

i wouldnt run a detroit or any other autolocker behing a manual tranmission, they just lock and unlock to hard and are very unpredictable in wet or snow, id just look into a cutchpck ar gear driven lsd and be done with it, pick up a couple used fact lsds and a a couple extra disc to one to make it more agresive
