I got some slotted rotors for the caddy. Figured going back and forth to downtown in atlanta traffic once school starts I could use some better than OEM discs. They are SP performance slotted with a zinc coating to prevent corossion. oh, and my card reader cause my computer wasn't recognizing the camera drivers i had installed. I <3 UPS

wise man to pay for the zinc, that is what I did....my friends are pissed that they didn't and they have that ring of rust around the hub whereas I do not.

What exactly do you find "shitty" about them? If its lack of stopping power, look to different pad compounds rather than rotors. Bigger rotors are for increased heat sink capacity to reduce fading.
LS1 brakes are "decent" enough for street use, but if you try and use them on the track, you might get caliper spread. If you hit the track every now and then or just want more confident braking on the street (you can never have enough brakes), C5 set up is the best bang for the buck. What you pay in initial cost, you get back from having to change the rotors/pads less frequently. This is what I have and IMHO, this is what GM should have given us from the factory (along with a 12 bolt hehe). |
