How and whats needed? o for a SBC

check out homemadeturbo.com, may not have one on a sbc, but lots of pics, and helpful forums, those guys do custom turbo build ups alll the time, not to much to it really, just steal all there ideas, only hard part is it being a carb. look around there forum

Im not shure about turbo on a sbc, ut I know that turboing old volvos with carbs used to be normal, I even think Ive seen a volvo b20 engine with 450 hp, carb and turbo. Rember to pressure test the carbs.

BTW. the older brother of a friend of mine had a volvo with turbo carb, it only had like 170 hp but it used gasoline like a v8! Almost half a gallon on like 10 km!!!!
