they dont filter EVERYTHING and alot of people use paper filters which are almost free (compared to a K&N or other cone) and they provide a higher filtering level... i never had the brand k&N INtroDUCe YoursELF DOOOOOOOD CLICK ME TO INTRODUCE ME! its nice to have another Canadian on board!

Many ppl overoil their k&n (or other similar type filters). The excess oil finds its way on to the mass air flow sensor wire - which is very sensitive - and throws off the readings, leading to loss of power.
If you happen to do this, you should clean the wire **VERY VERY** carefully (its fragile) with a qtip and electrical contact cleaner or rubbing alcohol. |

x2 on the qtip n rubbing Boose Failure of the AMM can mess up the readings to the point you can grill other sensors sometimes. An most often is the reason of the check engine light!
