is it possible to take a rear wheel drive motor and convert it to a front wheel drive motor?
example: Sr20det i know they make a front and rear wheel drive sr20. can you convert the rear wheel drive one to work in a front wheel drive 200sx?

so his 200sx has the jdm sr20det from a s14? well, its simple, really. Just strip the motor of everything but the motor and get the proper headers and engine/tranny mounts. but thats just my uneducated guess

The conversion should be no more than a bolt on affair, provided that both trannies share the same bolt pattern.
There maybe some discrepancy in injector size, flywheel size and, starter plate. The FWD injectors maybe smaller therefore, the injectors and ECU may need swapping. Or you could keep the stock injectors and ECU.
