The stang isn't running right at all and I'm wondering if setting the distributor to 10 degrees is enough timing for ported heads/intake/cam/exhaust 5.0. I'm also using the fuel pump out of a 3.8 because they're supposed to be the same, could this lead to my lack of power?

Tubular GT40 intake, 24lb injectors, bigger MAF and TB. Roller rockers (1.6), under drive pulley kit. |

imo you need more timing, i think stockers like 14 degrees, i'm running over 30 degrees on my stang, if you don't have a timming light handy just bump it up and go with the seat of your pants feel. advance till it runs better then advance it till it slows and back it off a bit, if it pings you have gone too far. remember timming advance is your best friend.

what the other guys said at least 13 to 14 degrees stock.. if you raise it anymore it'll let you know by pinging during idle.. I tihnk I could go about four extra degrees before needing at least 93 octane on my stockish motor
