Question Turbo Acura RSX-S?

What is the most power that the stock engine block could handle? Also if you add a supercharger or turbocharger to the RSX-S engine would internal work to the engine be essential? Wouldnt want a blown engine. I would think that you could run a turbo at lower boost levels safely. But I am not sure. Thanks in advance for the answers.

I wont speculate on the limits of the bottom end. You are correct, running low boost can be safe if done correctly. If you desire to run high boost you must lower the compression ratio. The biggest problem you will face is traction. You could make high numbers on the dyno, but unfortunately you cant strap the front end to the road like on the dyno.

Recently acura sponsored a big showdown between a bunch of magazines, to see who could make the best 'tuner' version of the rsx, car and driver's had the lowest horsepower numbers but the fastest speeds because all the others were turbo'd and had no traction.

My friend has an RSX, he decided to go all motor. Built the head, put cams, valves, springs, ported and everything. Stock bottom end, he also has bolt ons like intake manifold, intake, race header, cat back, ect..ect.

He will beat almost any turbo or supercharged RSX on the street due to the fast that he can get traction and they cant.
