I have an '87 suzuki samurai and I'd like to lift it so I can fit some decent sized tires under it, I'm looking at the rocky road 4 incher and the Calmini 3.5 inch kit, but I'm really new to off-roading and car modding in general, so any help you could give me would be appreciated.
Calmini 3.5 kit: http://www.puresuzuki.com/3_5_suspension.htm Rocky-Road 4" kit: http://www.rocky-road.com/4incher.html RockyRoad says theirs is the most complete system out there, and it has a longer parts list, so is all of it necessary or are they just trying to impress people like me who know nothing? What would I have to buy in addition to the Calmini kit to make it complete? I bought some fender flares from RockyRoad which they say will allow me to run 12.5" wide tires, but they haven't come in yet so who knows? Thanks. |

OK after pricing wheels and tires, I think I'm gonna get this
http://www.rocky-road.com/budgetlift.html With the Doetsch Tech shocks they have on the site for an extra 155, is this kit complete? they say I won't need brake lines, so what else should I plan on buying with this? |

Get a spring over axle conversion and use Wrangler YJ springs. Rocky Road offers that as well. The springs are longer than the Samurai's, will ride better than lifting it with the springs under the axle and flex better since the springs will be able to stay flatter
