i was wondering what would be a good chip to put into my 2000 civic, i heard the Venom 400R was good but i was just wondering what you guys thought?:thumpup:

chips dont do much on N/A cars. the only thing there really good for is get red of the stock rev limiter. your better off buying something esle i think personaly. i would out some money into susption, the only way your gona get a big difference in power is forced introduction or nitrous with a soch.

the only vehicles ive seen chips do good on are diesel pickups

yeah never really seen enough improvement to be worth it other than on the trucks

Save up and buy a turbo :thumb: . Unless you do some other mods putting a chip in it won't do much.

chips only do alot if there on a turbo car you duches, because it ups the boost.

build the block on the honda, Ive seen lots of aftermarket components for a b16 motor. Some sohc hondas are sleeved they have these cross hatched and etched titanium sleeves. handle alot of power and heat

Work on the internals of those things and they go fast

The car has intake, headers w/o cat, and exhaust, clutch, just looking for alittle edge.

cut out as much weight as you can. i saw an issue of some 4-banger magazine that had a stock base-model protege runnin 14's..
of course they took out:
all but 1 seat
radio
ac
heating
exhaust
trunk
roof
doors
spare tires on the rear
hood
glass
etc..

Ive had good luck with Cheetos. Lays are okay but I dont like the power curve. Doritos are best for the street beacuse they arnt as "crunchy". Good luck.

wanna chip ur civic eh? Crowbars make pretty good chips. If you drive fast enough on a gravel road...the little rocks can also chip your car pretty well.

Really the only way to squeeze a lot of power out of a civic is to slap a bunch of decals on it....i'd say you'd gain a minimum of about 50hp to the wheels.
