Is this for street racing or offroad?...If its for street racing...then I wouldnt waste a turbo upgrade on a full size truck. Think of the consequences of what might happen to your engine if you just add in a bolt on turbo. My advise to you is do some research first.

Dont listen to thoses guys, they are high. TRD makes a good kit, but a turbo is still better option. For street or off road. Just research it for a while.

It bolts in place of your muffler. Its nothing new, just cheaper way to go. TRD has worked out most of the kinks in the new kits. It should be fine. Tuning is what you need to watch...

The only thing that scares me about those remote mount turbos is that they're under the truck, what if you went offroading and hit it on a rock? The supercharger is in the engine bay. Just something to consider. Also, despite the fact that TRD does sound like turd, the supercharger sounds amazing, I was behind one a few weeks ago and it sounded badass right up until it got pulled over by a cop.

A guy I worked w/ SC'ed his tacoma a couple months ago, nothing but problems. He did a TRD kit. They gave him the blower and some supporting parts, but he had no way of properly tuning it. To maximize the affects of a SC'er you will need to replace the cam w/ a blower cam, possible meth injection, and someone who knows what the hell they are doing w/ the tuning software for that specific engine/SC'er combo. You will also need to upgrade from the stock fuel pump, larger injectors and exhaust. It's not a cheap job. If you are on a small budget and can't afford to do it right, DON'T. Just get some nitrous(75 shot or less to avoid a nitrous tune) and call it a day.

Depending on boost pressure/performance gain/cost, a standard fuel system or lightly modded (rising rate reg and decent pump) is often enough to run a bit of boost. I don't know anything of the vehicle in question or what the fuel system is like on them. But from playing with a few cars I have found that low boost will still give quite a good increase in power without big mods to ecu or fuel system. Obviously if you do the other mods to/spend the money you will end up with a better result. I guess it comes down to what you want end expect for your money.
