You buy some motor mounts that set the engine correctly and it just bolts in. You have to have a driveshaft made with the small 240end at the rear and the larger skyline/300zx end at the front.
You have to lengthen some of the sensor wires on the harness and wire the harness to the car. The difficult part is making the downpipe and the intercooler piping, if you cant weld pretty good. Sport Compact Car magazine did an article on it a few years ago and have a webpage about it. I wouldn't follow it though. Tehy did a VERY poor job and cut many corners. They also used McKinney motors parts wheich are less than the best and are VERY expensive!!! Just because they got mentioned in the magazine. They also didn't use any custom motor mounts. They used the skyline crossmember. It sets the motor WAY to high and forward. They even had to cut the bottom of the hood to get it to fit. BUY THE MOUNTS!!!! it will save you SO MUCH time and headach and sets the motor in the correct spot. Dont buy the McKinney adjustable mounts. They uck!! And if they were made right in the first place, whay would they need to be adjustable? ![]()

Its where the starter hump touches the firewall. You can get the engine in the car without denteing the floorpan/firewall, but it will vibrate against the floor. Just lower the engine/tranny into the car... look where the starter is touching... remove the engine and whack it witha mallet 3 or 4 times. You only have to move it about a quarter inch. If you do it with a mallet, yuou cant see any damage frrom the bottom and defionatly cant see it the carpet in the interior. The whole mod takes about 30 seconds. On an S13 it is a little more involved...
