Just installed a short ram intake on a 2000 Toyota Celica GT Figured i would post pics so that other nOObs could see a step by step, kinda

damn i figured it would give you like 10 or so, still looks good. Hey do you know if a K N intake will work on every car?

i like filters that open up on the top.. k&n doesnt.. but oh well.. the way i place my intake the sides of the cone doesnt get direct air but the top does.. i think the only filters that have open tops are ebay ones

I have no idea, didn't do it for a power upgrade, did it for a friend that needed to replace the stock filter. I found this intake on ebay for $18.99 so just changed to this. It does SOUND better though when on the throttle, more throaty

This is Arizona. Come three months and the engine bay will be cooler than the outside air.

Hey, I am a noob and I got that exact ram air kit off ebay. When I took out the stock filter box there were two hoses, one smaller than the other. I know the larger one is supposed to go on the new intake but what do i do with the smaller one? Also, there were some extra wires leading to some sort of air flap or valve or some shit... you can see the valve in your second picture. it is just left of center of the intake box.

I would love some advice!

yeah i have a celica and got rid of my short ram cuz of the heat, no sign of it causing any damage but your better off going stock with a KnN filter. **** the looks
