Default Would you buy it?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Dodge...02111092QQrdZ1

Im debating with my wife right now about this car. Looks like it might be a good "builder" car. Some body work, a few new panels and some paint would be a good car. (?) With the money Im saving in the car I can dive right into the motor. Look at the milage!

I was a mecanic for 12 years and I used to do the insurance estimates. Its has a salvage title bacause the frame has a dent in it. Meaning to the insurance company it needs a new frame. a new frame and labor to do the work is more money than the percent that the car is worth. Simply to the insurance company its not worth fixing. But to mt the frame damage is only cosmetic and will not affect the cars performance. Asa far as the interior goes, its an american muscle car. They are not know for there qulity interiors. It sucks but its still worth it.

If your talking about tech at the drag strip, it shouldnt be a problem. But by the time its ready fro the strip, it will have a full cage. I wont mind fixing the dent. As long as the car is safe, I dont thonk it would matter. Being that it has a salvage title, my credit union will only loan me 80% of its value. Still not bad for a builder. Just imagine this car with a twin turbo kit, skinnies in front, 28/12.5/16 MTs in the back, full cage, and stripped interior. SHA-WING! Approx. another $18,000-$20,00 on top of the price. Still not bad for that kind of car.

i dont know much about insurance, but how does a car like that get a salvage title for only having minor cosmetic damage and a dent in the frame...too me it just looks like a couple thousand dollars in damage??

**oh yeah and if anyone needs a carfax report done..hit me up i have it free until feb 4th...
