Default suggestions

I have a new 2005 Mustang GT, i was looking the other day for some modifications to do to it such as exhasut and what not, but then i realized i have no idea whats what, i am new to modifying cars. Got any suggestions on the best ways to go in getting horsepower (ex. exhaust, superchargers). any links would be helpful, thanks in advance.

What about a Bassani X-Pipe? Anybody know if these are good? Found on the Sacremento Mustang site.

ok...from one muscle car guy to the other, start with the bolt ons (headers, full exhaust, no cats, intake, intake manifold, MAF, and a TB.) Then spray if you would like to...from there go into a nice loopy cam (230/234) would be a good grind for a somewhat stock car, then heads (ET, and AFR make the best heads for all apps.) Next your going to **** parts from your drivetrain like no tomorrow so youll want LCAS (lower control arms), a 12 bolt, or 9 inch, a set of sticky tires, a steel, or carbon fibre drive shaft (aluminum is for beer cans, not for drive shafts) and definatley a new clutch, if not a rebuilt tranny, or even a T-56 from a cobra (03/04) Then you go for the big guns, a supercharger, or a turbo, and then possibly a rebuild to a larger bore...thats the un down. try to do the bolt ons a suspension first though (the stuff in bold)

you want something with free flow no resistance for your Intake and Exhaust, a good spark and good fuel pressure such as injectors and fuel pump for the basics but it also depends on your cash flow.

you want a new fuel injector and pump cause the stock one cant handle an intake and exhaust??? sorry, but on the V8's they can handle heads, cam, and complete bolt-ons...Driveline and the bolt ons are the most important, not the fuel system which will hold well over 450 stock

A programmer wouldn't be a bad idea either. I noticed quite a bit of difference when I put a Diablo Predator on mine. :thumb:

yeah, but one thing...it brings it alot closer to the detonation thresh-hold, which is not good at all. Also if you put the things on, you get a pro tune anyway and once a handheld programmer is used (at least in LS1 pcms) you can not calibrate it with a more powerful tool because it sort of "locks" the pcm into either its tuning or stocl tuning.
