Default 93 celica help

ok what would be the best and reletively inexpencive way to boost the horse power on a 93 celica(not gt) and don't say "NOS!!!" cuz thats just ghei
I figure to just skip all the little intakes and rice things and get a new engine but 1 I don't know much about celicas and 2 don't know waht engines can swap into a 93 model plus I have never herd of anyone doing that. so if any one has any good advice I would be glad to hear it and if I'm stupid for even trying well.....what ever

thanks.

one love.

Some of the cheapest and most effective things are actually an intake, new exhaust, and a racing chip, which aren't really ricer things. My friend has a black 93 celica GT, he put a Weapon R dragon intake on it and it makes a HUGE difference. Check ebay or nopi for cheap parts. A new engine would cost a hell of a lot more. :thumb:

ok but just fo refference what kind of engines will fit in a 93 model that would be worth getting and if you know how much are they??

I'm trying to get that car to bout 200hp.

and would an AWD conversion be very expensive???

the best engine for a celica would probably be the 2.0 turbo engine from the All-Trac Turbo model which has 200bhp,(might be hard to find a cheap used one in good cond. though) or you could swap in the 2.2 from the Gt coupe which has around 135 bhp and get a turbo setup, which would cost a considerable amount more $$$. it's probabaly cheapest and easiest to just stick with the engine you have and mod that one, if you have enough money you could get a turbo for it too. Don't have any prices though. Hope this was some help.
