A RB26 is the engine in a r32 or r33 skyline

yea i know ^_^ well thas the ting about drfting u have to able to shell out the cash to keep yur ride mantained, besides the cost of tires your goign to have adjust bolts and scews that may become loose during slides.

go for teh SR if you wanna just have some fun and wanna saty on a budget

If you go for the RB your be turing heads and be speinding alot more since your einge isnt made for your fast back

Wow where to start... The misinfirmation in this thread is startling.
1st... putting an RBinto a S13 is MUCH cheaper than the SR ($1200clip for RB vs. $2400+ for an SR motorset with possible missing pieces). I had my RB20DET IN THE CAR with a filter, JDM exhaust, downpipe, front mount intercooler, and a boost controller for less than it cost us just to buy an SR and ship it. Stock, they both have about 205 hp. For the same money as an SR I have about 300hp. Mod for mod the RB will walk on an SR. They have about another 1000rpm on the top end. Oh and yes the RB wweighs about 70lbs more.

2nd... SR20DET came in S13, S14 and S15 bodies.
3rd... There are MANY versions of the RB, most are NOT turbo and only the RB26DETT is twin turbo. There are

RB20e
Rb20de
RB20det
RB25de
RB25DET
RB25Neo
RB26Neo
RB26DETT
RB30e
RB30et

The folowing are modified versions of RB's

RB23det (rb20det with RB25 crank and rods)
RB24det (rb20det with RB26dett crank and rods)
RB27dett (RB26 with stroker crank and rods)
RB28dett (rb26 with stroker crank and rods with bore
RB30dett (rb30et with RB26dett head)
RB31dett (RB30 bored with RB26dett head)

As for the suspension, I have no problems drifting mine (JIC coilovers) and will be participating in the drift event in Atlanta this weekend

Eibach's are nice springs and are better than stock but are nowhere near the performance level of a good coilover. Kinda like a 240 is a nice sporty car, but its not a Ferrari!

For drifting I wouldn't even consider a set of springs. It's not to say some people dont drift on them, but they are nowhere as good as a set of cooilovers.

If you do go the spring route, then you will also need a good set of sway bars, front and rear to get the roll stiffness anywhere in the ballpark with a set of coilovers. By the time you spend $200 on a set of Eibachs and $300 on a set of sway bars, you are well on your way to a set of coilovers. I paid $680 for mine.

yea thats what im planning, im getting teh eibach pro kit-plus that comes wiht springs, dampers, and sway bars. And i dont really use it for track very much except for the occasional slide and mountain run, b/c im using it on my daily commuter

so there isnt a very good chance im going to be sitting in my garage ajusting my spring settings ( though i wish i could) i just want somthing that i can roll with and hug some coners in the process

the reason im asking if there worth it is because the pro kit costs about 945
and the coilover kit cost about $2o0 more, and if the handing perfromance is really that supurb, then ill be willng to sheel out some $$$

THNKS FOR TEH HELP

My coilovers are only height adjustable and the hadling difference is night and day. As a matter of fact, a good friend of mine just removed the Eibach kit from his car and installed the new JIC FLT-1 coilovers. He keeps saying he cant believe he waited so long. He put the Eibach stuff on his girlfriends 240 and she keeps *****ing at him cause his car handles better and she wants coilovers too.

To let you in on a secret... Get the Megan Coilovers. Most of the stuff they make is only mediocre but the coilovers are made by KYB (like most coilovers including the JIC) and are the same as the Apexi World Sports. At half the price!
