Default 88' - 90' M3

is it possible to swap the engine from an early M3 (has a 4 bagner) with a newer inline 6. I really like the body lines of the old m3s they just look meaner. This is just out of curriosity i have no knowlege of beamers. Just looking to learn a little.
thanks,
Jake

Yes, it should fit. I have seen three engine conversions that fit aside from a straight 6, a '88 M5/M6, a e36M3 and e34M5 engines...go to www.s14.net

Purely an e30M3 website....

Older M3's are rare and hold their value...you'd pay a fortune for a decent one.

Just get an E30 325 and upgrade that (suspension, brakes, motor) and you'll be better off in the long run IMO.

i guess that could work but does it still have the same boxy meaness that comes with the m3. I mean if you see that year moddel m3 it looks like it just kicked your sister for looking at it.
