i was wondering which engine would be beeter to put into my mk3 jetta. right now it has the lame ass 2.slow in it and im debatin wheter or not to put the 1.8T or the vr6 in it. which one is a better decision and which will over come with the most horses when fully decked out. and will it fit easily into my 95 jetta. thanks.

actally of both were left stock the 1.8 and vr6 would more or less be the though the same off lungh there jusr a giff in top end power.VR makes 20 more horses then the .8 but the weight difference somwhat shallows it, but im just sayign wghat what ive experienced, cuase i ran w/ my homie that has a MK3 with a vr6 with just intake and exhuast, and he beat me by only half a car. and i had the heaver Jetta
So, yeah if ur going to go w/ the VR get with the turbo asap, other wise just roll with the 1.8 for awhile

yea thats what im thinkin but i can find a couple vr6 engines but i havent even come across any 1.8's i can get a ****load of 1.8 ls's or like a 1.6 honda engine but i doubt the honda or acura engines would fit in there. but im going to buy a vr6 and rebuild it anyways so im going to take it all apart durin the winter and upgrade it with racing cams gears pulleys pistons everything and then in the spring just drop it in. so it will be quick as ****.
