I'm wondering if anyone knows of any companies that make computer chips and allow your car to run really rich at WOT, my friend had one on his 03 Eclipse and it really increase the performance it's kinda of like nitrous expect no refills to worry about, also he said sometimes if it runs rich enough his car will backfire and shoot some fire out, how does that work?

Running rich reduces the hp of a car. Running lean increases hp but also increases cylinder temps. Too lean and BANG!!!

Too rich can cause fireball by unburned fuel getting into the exhaust and being ignited. Good way to ruin a catalytic converter if you still have it. Also if you still have cat, you will not likely get top see the fireball.

Easiest way to run rich is to add an Apexi SAFC and turn up the fuel mix at whatever rpm you desire. I would NOT recoment one for what you are trying to do. Good way to tear up an engine if you dont know EVACTLY hat you are doing.

lol, maybe my friend has one of those Bee R thingys, are those thing universal or what!
