Hi Tremek
and everyone thought it was about time I registered after using this great site to get so many good car related pics and movies and found this place after visiting www.montrealracing.com and as most of the stuff I have enjoyed from there was off Tremek I just hope I can maybe dig up a few gems for others to enjoy also, but with a great site as well maintained as this it will be tough ![]() |

Yep I'd deffinatly say you have met your goals with the site!
Not to bore you all but thought I'd share some info on my car interests as I'm sure I'll share the same one's with some here I, as most automotive freaks I'm sure have always been into cars from a very early age but my hunger didn't really start until I started learning to drive. Some people think of driving as a means to get to work and back but I like most here drive because I enjoy it! and is the interest I'm most passionate about. I've only had 2 cars since I passed at the age of 19 (now 25 and have owned a Ford Orion 1.4 GLX and a Ford Puma 1.7 16v which I have had for 5 years now but tomorrow I pick up my dream car: Subaru Impreza WRX PPP with 265 BHP in WR Blue and I'll post up some pictures as soon as I take some I love watching Motorsport of all types and try and get to see it live when I can and my list of favourites seem to get bigger all the time. Here's a list of my fav's not in order. Australian V8 supercars. I folow as keenly as F1 and have really enjoyed watching the close racing with fields of over 30 cars, each tuned to 600BHP and have followed it for the last 3 years. I root for Marcus Ambrose who won the Championship in the final race off 2003 FIA World Rally Championship. Again I follow every race and think as real driving goes the skills these guys display is amazing to say the least and are tested on the best roads the World has to offer. Favourite Driver: Peter Solberg. Drifting. Yes some may think it's reserved for teens in Nova's and Corsa's (Ricers, see I'm learning )in Mc Donalds car park but this has really impressed me and have tried to get any media I can on the different rounds in the D1 Championship and look forward to watching more, along with the crazy Japanese commentary. Indy Racing League. I've only really watched 1 season so far but the racing is so dangerous and so close I can't pull myself away, and as these guys push 230 MPH on the oval tracks without having to break in the lap just amazes me. Nascar. America's #1 motorsport and again like IRL the size of the field and the speed and drafting these guys do is amazing with and is also quite tactical for 40 cars driving around in a circle British Touring Car Championship TBH it has gotten a bit tame compared to the Australin or German series(DTM) and is still fun to watch but I wish the guys would overtake with a bit more skill than rear ending the car infront Formula 1 I've been into F1 the longest, about 8 years and although the racing I think has up until last year lost some of the excitement it still makes me take the phone off the hook and become glued to the TV for a few hours when it's on. My favourite drive is Michael Schumacher but I have been a fan from his early days at Benetton and even through his rough time when he first signed to Ferrari before they turned into the number 1 team to beat 1st race next weekend by the way down under I hope I didn't bore u all with my long post and feel free (unless you have in another thread I have not yet read) to list your fav's |

I'm not sure if u get 2 Scooby models in the U/S but here we get 2
The WRX and the WRX STI.The 1 I'm getting is a WRX 2.0 Turbo pushing out 225 BHP (standard) and costs £19995 but for £1600 more I'm getting the Prodrive Performance Pack. (Prodrive prepare and run the Subaru FIA World Rally Cars btw) and essentially you get an exhaust change from 2 smallish tail pipes to 1 larger 1 to make it roar some more, an ECU remap/upgrade, better intercooler and air filter hoses and air filter, all of which is still covered under the 3 year warrany and also has to be liscenced to the chasis number on the car, you cannot buy it sepratly. All of this boosts power to 265BHP and 260lb ft of torque and drops 0-60MPH from 5.5 s to 4.8 s, bear in mind a Ferrari 360 Modena is 4.7, yeah it will lose me after that but on a car costing £21600 all in it is real value for money compared to alot of stuff over here. here is a pic but no pics I see really do the car justice and it's not in that nice dark blue Be warned pop ups http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/imprezawrx03_02.jpg http://www.rsportscars.com/foto/06/i...rx03_inter.jpg The other model is the STI which has 265BHP as standard, is 6 speed instead of my 5 speed with a big spoiler and different front bumber but has less torque than mine and at £25000 and stiffer suspension still it's a buy for the serious trackday nutter here is the car I've been in for the last 5 years Ford Puma http://www.passionautomobile.info/images/ford_puma.jpg only 1.7L and 125 BHP but was a fun and reliable car that got Top Gear car of the year when it was first launched in 1997 ![]() |

Well guys you may have to wait until I can borrow a digital camera but I picked up the Scooby Doo today!..
OMG I am so pleased with it and after already clocking up 100+ miles already all I can say is buy 1 The car looks so much better in the flesh and I was grining like a Chesire Cat once I saw it sitting out back burbling away. It is just so well put together, no disrespect to Ford but there really is no comparison as far as UK cars go unless I could afford a new GT40 (well another story) .Grip and handling is a bit hard to fully rate as I'm just running the car in and the tires and brakes need running until they are at their best but even now it corners so well with little roll and the Recaro seats keep you firmly in place. I'm not used to driving a powerfull car every day but have driven some, i.e Supercar Day at Silverstone GP circuit and drove a Dodge Viper GTS-R, Lotus Esprit Turbo V8, 911 Carrera 4 and my Fav a 355 Ferrari, but spending just a few hours so far in the WRX is just mind blowing with regard to what it can achieve when fully run in as even upto only 4000rpm the boost is savage and almost instant! I pulled out of a junction gave it a blip to 4000 after a granny start and it exploaded and lurched forward big time Worth every penny, and I'll get some pics up as soon as I get em ![]() Here is a pic of my first car to wet your appeatite's tho ![]() Oi don't laugh I loved it http://faq.ford77.ru/info/image/schw...n/p0002053.jpg Last edited by Gilly; 01 Mar 2004 at 08:08 am. |
