There are student strikes going on in quebec right now
What the students are trying to say is, they dont want to pay the money they owe to the governement for the loans they took, therefore they are striking on it. I check something out, very well, through news and stuff, and there is no racism here but: THERE IS NOT A SINGLE COLOURED PERSON STRIKING, THERE ARE ONLY QUEBEQUERS!!! no one would ever allow this, people come from the entire world to study here in canada, where there is a high quality of education at a low low price (im not trying to sell out) or anything, the minister of education says he wont even consider negociations because the students start off in a violent way, "Earlier this week, Premier Jean Charest said Quebec students are better off than their counterparts across the country. And Education Minister Jean-Marc Fournier said students who strike will have to make up the lost time in the classroom. " ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ MONTREAL – Education Minister Jean-Marc Fournier has called off talks with CASSEE, one of the student groups protesting against the government's cuts to its bursary program. (CASSEE is the Coalition de l'Association pour une solidarité syndicale étudiante élargie.) Fournier says the group refuses to denounce the violence and vandalism carried out by some students. Twelve students were arrested after they occupied Fournier's riding office in Chateauguay, south of Montreal, Wednesday night. The Sûreté du Québec's tactical squad intervened to end the occupation. (quebec's provincial police) About 10 students were inside the office, while about 30 others were protesting outside. Two protesters were arrested for preventing police from doing their jobs they do these things, and expect to negociate after, the teachers are getting paid, and they will be paid extra because the session will have to be longer, the stupid ass students are just wasting time, and the few that have important student body position made a strike for eveyone, anyone in the right mind that has a damn mind realises how much is given to them, and just shut their mouth and do what they have to do, i dont know about you guys, what do you think?

Some people are graduating this semester and have jobs waiting for them in September, if tstudents go on strike, these graduates will never graduate and ruin their lifes. ![]()

Although u're right about all u say marek, the situation has changed now. Concordia students (which are mostly non-quebecers) are going on strike next wednesday for a whole day, which seems quite odd 2 me 2. I guess they just don't know what they're doing and following the flow. Thank god in my faculty the strike did not pass, but I find it quite alarming when UNIVERSITY students say "YEY!no school!vacation!". They just don't understand what a negative imapct this whole situation could have on their school year and even maybe their futures.
