Quick question (well maybe not so quick): What the hell is up with NFSU2 and their cars? Messin around in the customize screen I built a Focus that outruns my GTO. All level 3 engine mods and such on both. This Focus ran an 8.8 1/4 mile at 173 or so. The best I got outta the GTO so far is a 9.9. I'll have to tinker with it more but somehow I'd expect a car with 350hp stock to rack up more power and such from all the stuff done to it and be able to outrun a 2.0 (or whatever the Focus is) with the exact same mods. Its not just the Focus either. The GTI was insanely fast, I can;t remember the numbers but it nearly maxed its acceleration bar as well as top speed. The Celica was similar, the Civic was way up there. I just find it hard to believe that the Focus and Civic, designed as economical yet fun cars, or the GTI and Celica designed as sporty cars (but not actual sports cars) would be so much faster than a Mustang GT or GTO, RX-8, etc, cars all designed from the ground up as performance machines. Yes the GTO puts some emphasis on luxury as well and is kinda heavy, the Mustang uses a solid axle in the rear to save money, and the RX-8 is a "4-door", but they're still supposed to be higher machines. I could see if they were gonna say those cars are all lightweights, but the GTI isn't. Its a very heavy small car. The RX-8 beats the RX7, and I know an RX7 is gonna be faster and handle better than a Focus. Another oddity, it was easier to score big drifts with the Focus than the GTO, and otherwise the GTO is my best drifter. Something about rear drive and ass loads of torque, spins them rear tires nice and easy. The Need For Speed Franchise started out as an actual driver's game. It had decent physics and made the cars perform pretty close how they should in comparison to each other. I'm talkin way back in the days of Sega Saturn and Road & Track presents: Need For Speed. I don't know, maybe its just me but it seems with NFSU2 they're trying really hard to cater to the import tuner crowd by making the usual suspects beat out higher end cars and more notably the big names for the domestics (yes I know the Focus is a domestic). Both the Mustang and GTO have horrible handling, my Escalade has a handling rating pretty close to my GTO. Everything I've read about the new Mustang rates its handling pretty highly. And I wonder why the C6 was left out. Probably some sort of licensing dispute, but my idea of it being because they didn't want a car that would outperform the almighty Skyline fits better with this whole conspiracy theory...

its a video game remember that...its pretty much how much money the specs teh company the wants the car to have. well atleast thats how i see it. the only game you should be worried about is the gran turismo series. now if ur focus out ran ur gto in that game i'd be worried but...dont worry in nfsu2
