Best racing movie

I am not talking like compialation vids. I would like to know what you guys think the best blockbuster racing movie on cars is. There was a movie back in the day called Two-lane black top. My favorite racing movie.

what kind of "racing" there arent many good ones of any kind. theres Days of Thunder, Driven, um deer god i dont wanna say 2 fast 2 furious not too many are coming to mind here.

Last year´s Michel Vaillant was pretty cool. And there´s always Le Mans with Steve McQueen and the breathtaking Porsche 917.

there was a great movie back in the 60's or 70's called Cannonball Run i think, it was where like 20 or so cars had a race from new york to cali. Its very old but its a goodie they got a good trans am, a few vettes, a nice lotus, and a nice stang. It was a great movie! (if your into the old ones)

Yeah Days of Thunder is a childhood classic for me and I've lost count of how many times I've seen it, oh damn it I'm gonna have to watch it again this weekend now

I think the best racing movies ever were "Grand Prix" from the '60s and Steve McQueen's "LeMans" from the '70s.

There have been a lot of fun movies since then that do not take themselves seriously, but "Days of Thunder" was like watching one big cliche, and "Driven" was a complete embarrassment to the racing community and the fans alike.

I guess in order for Hollywood to earn their money today they need to have a crashfest for the non-racing fan interspersed with sugary goofy love stories so the wives and girlfriends will go too.
