im looking for good all around car to get for under 10k and i was recently looking at the contour svt. it seems like a great car. if anyone has ever driven or owned one please give me your opinion.
I DO NOT WANT THIS TO BE A I HATE FORD THREAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please stay on topic of this car. I dont say o its a ford so its "gay". if you do i will burst your spleen and stab you in the lung.

i used to work at a Ford dealership and i have driven them
and if you can get it for under 10k i would recommend it
they are good cars
although they are a little ( actually make that alot ) understated but they are good cars allround
not alot of power ( about 160whp ) but enough to get you in trouble if you are not paying attention and the handling is neutral and forgiving

also they are fuel efficient and all round fun to drive.

They are ok cars stick with the SVT or SEV6 the Four Cylinder ones had Mad electrical problems especially the lighting system the tail lights/liscense would cut in and out. My sister had one and there has been no recall for it despite the numerous complaints. The car itself works fine. BTW she has a 98 Ford Contour GL VCT.
