How do I get all my wmv and wav files to stop playing through aol media player? It seriously infuriates me, I want all my vids to play through microsoft media player instead. Help. Thanks!

changes your preferences in the control panel under media players

um.....I just checked out my entire control panel......it says nothing about media players, I've tried it before.

I don't get it.......I used to have win98 and I'm pretty sure I was able to set default media players through the control panel. Now I have winXP and I can't do shit....I don't get it. I didn't like XP in the beginning and I hate it even more now!

right click on the file and then click were it says open file in... and pick the program and under that there will be a place to check that will say (Open all programs of this type with this program) And there ya go

Hey thanks Mach, I did like you said, but AOL still opens some files with the stupid aol media player. It's so frustrating, watching the vids on that little screen (even though I can view it fullscreen), I hate watching vids with this stupid player. I guess I'll just have to talk to AOL tech support to resolve this issue.
