and no, they may not have caught it, there are people that slip through the cracks all the time, and in his position w/ the contacts he has, it would be an easy thing to do. I had a guy in my platoon that wasn't a citizen, but he was legal, and obtained citizenship about two years in. Dominican, couldn't understand a word he said. I always called him haitian or cuban to piss him off.

First off.....IF he was born in Kenya but his mother was an American citizen then HE is still an American citizen.If your wife/girlfriend is pregnant and she flies to Australia to visit relatives or whatever and has a child there the baby as well as the female in question is STILL an American citizen.Demanding proof from Obama is senseless.He IS an American Senator that had a extensive background check done before being allowed to be such.NOONE questioned his nationality prior to him becoming a Presidential candidate.....why now?Oh yes its grasping for straws.McCain is going to lose....PERIOD.I dont have anything against McCain/Palin except their platform.No personal attacks needed.Why are sooooo many people scared of this man?His middle name?Which he was given at birth.....Republicans must feel he chose that name in the womb since "life" begins at conception so he started his "plot" to become world ruler while in his father testicles.....COME ON PEOPLE!!!

Your confused, if a college student from Japan attends college in the USA for a semester and gives birth. It's a US citizen not Japanese. Illegal mexicans give birth here all the time

just because you have a parent that is a US citizen and you go to another country and she gives birth there....unless she gave birth at the US embassy, that child WILL NOT be given US citizenship. You have to be born on US soil.

Psycho and 001mm please read what each other wrote.To say that an American woman that gives birth on a trip while using an American passport to a foreign country makes the child a foreign citizen....hmmmmm.Would she be required to leave that child in that country until his/her passport and citizenship paper work is cleared?Or would he be granted a green card to return to his mothers homeland?

^ no, but the proper paperwork would have to filed by the mother to get the kid properly citizenship.

I know my friend william, when he was born his mother had to go back to greece were their family was from and while in greece she had him over there. She said she had to go through some proceedures and get some paperwork shit done and then he became a little citizen.
