Leaves 8 dead and more injured

ACCOKEEK, Md. -- Police in Prince George's County say the investigation into the worst street racing crash in local history is going to be a long one.

Eight people died and six more were injured early Saturday when a driver blinded by exhaust and tire smoke plowed into a crowd of people gathered on Indian Head Highway to watch a street race, police said.

the blame is 50%, stupid people need to stop acting like FNF and stop in the middle of the street, and the Crown Victoria driver should have stopped when he spotted smoke...

Frank Dunn, owner of Country Carpet, just off the highway near the crash site, told The Washington Post that in the past week to 10 days customers have been telling him that his store's parking lot had been full of cars in the middle of the night. He said one customer told him cars were being unloaded from trailers there in preparation for races.

So if it were 8 people waiting on a bus, and the previous bus had just left behind a huge cloud of smoke, the crown vic driver who killed those 8 people would only be 50% to blame?

He is 100% to blame for driving through an obstruction at a high rate of speed. The street racing part is a footnote.

we hear about all the school killings/work killings there.it seems like its every week.you have way to many nutters over there wanting to kill lots of people then kill them self

haha. its true. They are the products of a bored, misguided deteriorating society. And there seem to be more and more of them all the time.

The problem with school / other public shootings is that when you have one, the media gives the shooter so much attention and fame, that all these other losers who feel their lives are worthless begin to think "maybe if I did that I wouldn't be such a nobody", and you get more shootings.
