He probably got scratched or bitten by one of the other cats, they have really really nasty bacteria in their claws and teeth, every time my roommate's cat scratches me it's infected for like three weeks.

Hate it for ya

I went through a English bulldog having to wear a lampshade because of a skin rash, its so hard because the animals have no idea whats goin on.
