ok im mappin out my route for a trip to New York in a few weeks, it says somthin about a portions toll, those are the one where you have to pay a fee like $2.00 or whatever right?
exsample
10: Merge onto I-90 W via EXIT 14 toward ALBANY (Portions toll) (Crossing into NEW YORK). 64.3 miles Map

11: Merge onto NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY W (Portions toll). 6.6 miles Map

12: Merge onto I-87 S / NEW YORK STATE THRUWAY S via the exit on the LEFT toward NEW YORK CITY (Portions toll)

it means that only certain 'portions' are toll, not the entire road at least thats the way i understand it

it dont matter, i found a diffrent route, thats better
my route has no toll, is 14 miles shorter, but is 14 mins longer. but is mad simple

how does that work out? It is shorter, but takes longer.

yeah, my way is shorter but takes 15min longer, but is alot eisyer, its basicly, 91S to 84W and that will bring me within 4 miles of the Shop

More redlights /stop signs can make it shorter in distance but longer ( time ).
