i am needing a new clutch for my focus. the ford dealer tells me that its going to be .................... get this $1100 to get a new clutch installed

best quote i could get is $520 for the clutch alone and thats before tax

i have never paid more than $350 for a clutch before and that was 6 puck for a SBC

whats so special about the focus ????

One of the things I found out is that nobody sells it, you have to order it directly from Ford.

damm thats bollox. it would take about 2 hours if that here and cost about £200 max. its all about if u have the right tools.and i guess garages here work on FWD cars all day.unlike there .

You should go to a scrapyard...

BUt ford are little trixters when it comes to parts...

here are some "sport" after market clutches
dont worry the page takes time to load, but they go from :

$25 for a rubber exhaust hanger, $200 for igniton wires, lord knows about brakes...
