So, my friend has a 2001 BMW 330ci. I love the car, its an auto but still awsome. Anyways, its snowing pretty bad out and hes driving it to school. He slips out at 30mph around a corner and slides sideways into a stopped bus.....
His car has serious damage to the frame, door, roof, fenders, and wheels. But its a good thing he had full insurance right? WRONG! For some reason his insurance company DENIED his claim because his insurance policy was left unfinished or something, the company said they were missing a signature and a photograph of him that was needed for the insurance to be OK'd. So hes flipping while his parents are going nuts on the company. But whats weird is that he took out a loan to pay for the car so they bank wouldve looked at his car insurance before issueing the loan correct? Someone help me out here!! My friend is stuck with about $7-12k in damages that wouldve been normally covered by insurance. BTW he was paying full insurance prices, (about $3500) i think and he had beening driving it with that policy for about 1 year. So what i am trying to figure is why this descrepency wasnt cought earlier and why they can deny the claim if he pays full payment of insurance. BTW the acident was deemed not faulted by anyone due to the weather.

2 words for your friend and family..... Legal Consultation
This is something that happens everyday with insurance companies. Does he have any medical damages ?

Id let an Attorney deal with the insurance company. The insurance company will have to pay the legal fees and other fees as well if it goes before a judge.

its not your friend responsibilty that the company didnt go up to date with his insurance coverage,
if he ever got pulled over or whatever or a ticket whatever just something that would show , it would be good we both understand eachother when i say that the insurance company skipped a pretty important detail by not advising your buddy that he wasnt insured. What kind of insurance company is he with? i was never asked for picture or ID to get insured, all i needed was my license # + i did it over the phone you have to be able to prove that The insurance company missled your friend, that they made him believe that he was insured and he was paying them, so what did the payment go for? if you sue you can win the amound back plus consolidation its the small details that make it big you just cannot deal with issues like this in any agressive way so get : -proof of payments -insurance contracts saying you need a picture and a signature
