Default 41cm of snow in Montreal

yesterday December 16, 2005

Montreal, Quebec experienced the first major snow fall of the year, and the biggest snow storm since 1971.

http://www.canada.com/montrealgazett...4-7479dd29be24

this is from our newspaper (they only have the title and one picture)

i took a few pics of my street and my car and all that...later on today i will get pics from the roof of my work.

its 24 hours later and there is still alot of snow everywhere, major roads that are 2 lanes became a 1 lane road. Highways from 3 lanes became 1. It was a sight to see. the highways were like a parking lot that ppl would get out of the car to clear the snow that would pile on their cars while waiting to move ahead...

between 6am and 7am an incredible 10cm of snow fell.

41cm's of snow smashed the record for snow fall on decmeber 16th wich was set at 24.4cm's in 1974.

the biggest snow fall in montreal was 43.4 cm's on march 4th 1971

let me tell you people have forgotten how to drive in the snow, i wanted to just get out and hurt people just cause of their stupidity.

and i had no problems driving the golf other then blow reverse trying to force my way off my driveway through a snowbank. oh well used my truck to pull my car out and now the truck will come out of hibernation and will be put back into service.

we have the same problem here, people think that they can just drive as they would if the weather was normal, "why should we slow down and give more distance to come to a stop" :banghead:
