Got my first ticket....

Oh yah the cops face lit up. you really have to watch for unmarked cars and iI mean noone would be able to tell it was a cop. Scared me S***less.lol But not to mention my car had no insurance at them time because i take it off for winter but i had to drive the car home from work. o well he didnt ask for insurance so he didnt get it. :thumpup:

Did you guys know that for the past 2 months toronto police have been on strike. I constantly do 140 in a zone and never see cops. And the funny thing is they did a news serial about this and found out in the past two months there have been less traffic fatalities then normal.

Would it hold up if I go to the judge and say something along the lines of...."I wasn't aware of my speed, I was paying attention to the road and not my speedomter. It was night time and the road often gets deers on it. From my vantage point, I was traveling the same as the other cars on the road. I wasn't pulling away from the car behind me nor was I gaining on the car infront of me. Next time I will pay more attention to my speed"...or some load of crap like that?

very good thinking. ive read up on ways to get out of speeding tickets. ive found that if you act like you really didnt know you were speeding and it was never intended to happen. usually they let you off. but it also depends on the cops/judges current day. he could have had a crazy ******* in there just before you and pisted him off and now the rest of you are left to take the pain. either way, best of luck to ya

here in North Carolina, when its your first ticket, you have the option to take a defensive driving class and the ticket will not show up on your license, is it like that there?

Other cars were doing the same speed as me, I figured I was in the clear....I hate cops and judges sometimes... :banghead:
