where's hks or mine's or any company coming out with a simple flash to get rid of the limiter? Assuming i'm not just losing it the japanese and european cars have a 118mph limiter on them or soemthing like that so the car reaches top speed that fast. This could be one of the american cars and i just dont know but the mph seems low for the time.

I think i'm just tired because the more i type the more i think about the awd system and how that alone can take so much time off of a 1/4mi time from an amazing start.

The limiter is suppossed to be 112 I believe and Motor Trend or C&D ran a US spec one and trapped 116. The US spec cars aren't suppossed to have a limiter. Not much top end maybe?

^^ That was Inside Line road trip, they had USDM spec GT-R without limiter. Car & Driver ran JDM spec GT-R at 11.5 at 121 mph. ROAD&TRACK did the slowest of all in 11.8 at 116 mph wiich was also an USDM spec GT-R. Motor Trend recently ran a red USDM spec GT-R to 60 in 3.2 sec. and 1/4 in 11.6 at 120 mph. USDM spec GT-R has no speed limiter

The GT-R is slow at the top end because of it's short gear ratio. that's why top speed is only 190 mph. The gear ratio in the GT-R is 10% shorter then for example 997 Turbo. If it's gonna be capable to pull to 60 with 3800 lbs in 3.2 sec the gear ratio needs to be very short and with paddle shift quick gear shifting helps the rev drop to stay at the torque peek effectiivly. It's because of this the car can run 3.2 to 60 with 3800 lbs in weight..

yeah, gearing is terribly short if it can only do 190...
