Yeah, is there a mod list available? 9 secs is impessive but for all we know it's a rb26

i happen to own a 10 second 300zx and i know for a fact that the vg motor can put out as much if not more power than an rb motor. that car is a z1 motorsports car, they specialize in z32 performance and i beleive that is the owners car. it looks and sounds like crap if you ask me.

its cool i guess if you like going in a short straight line and are deaf and blind. i have yet to see an impressive z1 car on a real race track. anyone can make a car go balls out in a straight quarter mile.

Yep the VG is a top motor. It's just the standard packaging that lets it down. Very similar problems to what FD RX7's have.

As for never seeing a quick circuit 300zx, here you go.

this car uses alot of the same parts i use on my car. its pretty bad ass. i wasnt saying there are no fast track 300zx's, there are lots. i was saying that ive never seen Z1 Motorsports produce one. in the 300zx world Z1 is the new trend, its the "cool" brand to have stickered on your car. it just reminds me of highschool clicks who think that they are awesome and that everyone else sucks. i undertand from a business aspect that they are just trying to do well but for people to buy into it and ignore the good products such as hks, tial, tokico, and so on is just sickening. sorry for the rant but i cant say this stuff in the real world. the internet is my release, haha.

someone sent me a link to this forum, and i had to reply.

first of all this is my car, not z1's. ive been building this car for over 5 years to run what it does now. z1 helps me with their products/dyno/help, in exchange for advertisement, and this was not the case until recently (sep-07).

second. if it were so easy to go fast in a straight line like you say, everyone and their brother with a z32 would be doing it. its not as easy as you think to run 9's in this car. that i know only 3 exsist in the us right now and mine is the quickest. what is easy is getting online and pretending to know wtf your talking about, and make blanket statements like "anyone can make a car go balls out in a straight quarter mile". dude you have no idea of the time, effort, skill, fabrication...... that it takes to build one of these heavy cars to run 9's while being street legal.

since its so easy, where is the video of your car running 10's?
oh and im not deaf and blind obviously .

you're only 25, probably not even a year older than me. im glad you pride yourself on the accomplishments you've made with your car. good job. i find it hilarious how we can go on the inernet and make claims about people's knowledge and never meet them or speak to them. and to answer your question, only three 9 second 300zx's exist (that you know of) because it takes alot of money, some people think its not streetable, some people dont want to or care to go that fast, alot of people dont have the knowledge to do it, other than z1 which is in georgia there arent many shops to do it.
i took my car to the milan dragway once and ran a 10.3/10.4 consistantly and no one took video. i stick to street racing, i dont care about the drag strip. if you want a video you will have to wait until spring for them to open. i live in metro detroit and its covered in snow at the moment. look me up on 300zxclub under the same name. you will see im not lying. and if you want to run 8's send your car to my shop in the future.
