It's Eddie Tassone's VC (1980 i think?) holden commodore, its from Western Australia, and does the quarter mile in 8 Seconds. It is currently the record holder in street commodores magazine (Australian) for the Fastest commodore. its a Twin Turbo 383ci V8.

it was beaten this year in the dyno comp at summernats (australian car show in canberra, ACT.) by another model commodore, a VH, later model, which cracked around 1450hp at the rear wheels. apparently eddies blew a head gasket and was leaking boost, thus killing the power.

oh, and i thought i would mention, these cars are running pump fuel, NOT racing fuel, they are tested by the summernats judges after the dyno run, to ensure the RON of the fuel is not greater than 98 or 100 (something like that)
the cars have to be street legal, i.e. road registered in australia to compete in the dyno competition, eddie (owner of the 1300+hp VC) claims his wife has driven it to the shops to buy groceries!!!! jeeeez |
