The reason I posted numerous years is to show that the average time is still in the high 13 low 14 range, but it is true, alot of it IS the driver. In this case the driver not trying no seriously, I see your point about the driver.

I need some kind of evidence that a street trim 300whp Ion can run 12's, even a 12.99 for all I care. I just don't believe it. Let me know what you find out though...:thumb:

================================================== =============

Here's some of my research:

here is a 04 redline, 20psi with FMIC

13.700 @ 107.000 in the 1/4 mile

here is an 04 Ion, 16psi, K&N intake w/ dry flow
Headers (downpipe): J/S header, hi flow cat, 2.5in cat back, B woddy traction bars on 93 octane

13.675 @ 103.950 in the 1/4 mile

K&N filter with modified lid, 52mm TB, ported plenum, Edelbrock High Flo runners, Lingenfelter manifold, ported aluminum heads, Custom grind camshaft by DRM, Roller rockers at 1.5, High flow stainless valves, high perf springs, chrome moly rods, high volume fuel pump, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, MSD ignition, LT ceramic coated headers, full stainless exhaust out straight pipes, All that and it still won't beat an LS1.

True, I could be wrong in assuming that when it said 300ZX TT it was a mid 90's model, it could be a 85-89 Z in which case:

1985 Nissan 300ZX 0-60: 8.2 1/4 mile: 16.4
1985 Nissan 300ZX Turbo (auto) 0-60: 7.4 1/4 mile: 15.7
1987 Nissan 300ZX 2+2 0-60: 8.8 1/4 mile: 16.5
1989 Nissan 300ZX 0-60: 7.1 1/4 mile: 15.5

...also my brother has a turbo (small T3) 85 Z and on 12 psi with JDM motor swap runs low 14's and I can hear the turbo when he BARELY gets on it, let alone when he iis racing someone.

Look, I'm not trying to be an arsehole, I'm just showing the evidence that there are SO many things about that video that SCREAM bullshyt. All I can say is I'm glad some people can see what I see.

It is actually on 10psi with a small top mount IC and runs mid to low 14s. On 12psi and the HKS FMIC I have it will be in the high 13s.
