no the 6g72 is the oldest.it's from 1990 to 1999.the rb20 should be the oldest byt they changed it to rb25 and rb26 later.

No the RB26 came out in 1989 and was packed into the Skyline R32 GTR so it is the oldest(89-02). Your right the RB goes back farther than that. We could go back in forth with this. Sorry for getting off topic guys.

Ah but the RB30 is even older again. Think they were released here in Australia in '86.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The 6g could be older too. It came in some Pajeros in single cam per bank form I believe and my understanding is that this would predate the 3000gt/GTO. But that is all 2nd hand info that may or may not be correct.

Again cool swap-something very different. Now a 2jz in a GTR would be cool!

let me throw some gasoline in to this...

beemer 6cyl can spit out 1k on stock blocks, and still no one raves about them. and they are older than those, going back to the 70´s.

or even the 4cylinder M10/S12 on stock block can do well over 1000hp, and it was created in the early 60´s.

Indeed Nortad. The problem here is that many are igonorant of past racing history and tend to base everythng on street, drag and drift applications that they see right in front of them. Also the age and parts backup would most likely not be where it is today with the Jap stuff.

And if it wasn't in "Initial D" (whatever that rot is) or F&F, so it's not cool, haha!

Nortad and SevPP u guys are right no one ever mentions BMW motors or Porsche's either. I'm guessing it's because alot of people have on brand new pairs of Rollerhates haha. There are tons of great motors, but only few stand out unfortunately in this drag,drift day and age.

any prove ???? so you are saying na engine can push 1000bhp on stock block? viper with 10 cyl and 8liter have hard time doing that.turbo engines have stronger engines.those pistons and rods are too heavy for NA engins.
