This is one of the most streetable road racing Skyline ever made. The V12 engine is as light as the RB26 believe it or not. It uses aluminium this and that which makes the V12 engine so light, VERY reliable and enduranced.

"The Nissan Skyline GTR « Unlimited » will be one of the most performant "street car" ever built. With 1000 horsepower for only 1000 kilos (widebody carbon fiber, brakes etc.), it will go from 0 - 60 mph in less than 3 (2.7) seconds and 0 - 190 mph in around mid 11 seconds. The quarter mile time will be under 9 seconds and the top speed will exceed over 235+ mph. Handling and braking will match this level of performance"

ENGINE:
V 12 6870 cc (90 x 90 mm)
4 overhead camshafts
48 valves
4 turbochargers
Sequential multi-point fuel injection

POWER & TORQUE:
1000 HP
100 kgm = 1000 Nm

TRANSMISSION:
GTR 4 wheel drive
6 speed sequential gearbox

WHEELS AND TYRES:
690 - 330 x 18
18 X 13 magnesium

BRAKING SYSTEM:
Carbon fiber discs
Front 381 mm
Rear 355 mm

SUSPENSION:
Upper and lower A-arms

STEERING:
4 wheel steering

BODY:
Carbon fiber and steel

DIMENSIONS:
Length : 4650 mm
Width : 1900 mm
Height : 1230 mm
Weight : 1000 kg

Everytime this engine is mentioned its always said its a brabus tuned merc engine.

If its custom build, do you know who did it?

You could make the rb26 put out the same amount of power, but maybe not in such a smooth, and realible manner.

^^ It's a French guy. He's a big fan of the Skyline and a regular visitor of the GTROC forums. Ask him self how he costume built the engine.

Actually the costume built Merc V12 engine isn't that much heavier then the standard RB26. The smart part is he mounted the engine lower and a few inches back to composate the 50/50 weight distribution. Other words you can say the car is a perfect ballanced front to mid engine 4 wheel steering ATTESSA AWD extreem performance high powered road race car. Special edition Enzo, modified Ultima GTR or even Veyron on race track would be a piece of shit comparison to this GTR.

He picked the V12 engine because of the reliability. A standard RB26 engine would require an amount of PSI of boost and RPM to achieve 1000 horsepower from just 2.6 litre displacement which mean that would cause alot of stress to the engine on longer endurance race. From my guess the costume built V12 engine with 4 turbos would only need between 8 or 12 PSI and revs to maybe only 8000 RPM to get the same 1000 horsepower. For the endurance race that would be alot more reliable.

The inline RB26 engine has the best performance and reliability between 600 - 700 horsepower.
