Default Mazda 20b powered 350z!!!

A guy in Australia has almost finished a Mazda 20b rotary conversion into his 350z. Heres a vid of start up for the first time. There's no doubt there will be plenty more vids of this car in the future.

Aiming for 700rwhp apparently.

It's an awesome job. The dude also wants to run 9's once its complete. Funily enough it's apparently cheaper to do the 20b swap and build, than to build a vq to the same output! Notice how uncluttered the engine bay is also? The turbo is a GT42R.

I wasn't laughing at the conversion either. I just expected some Nissan fans to be upset. There's been quite a bit of talk on some of the Aussie forums regrding this vehicle.

Nitrous setup

^^^^this is the only swap thats somewhat exceptable for a z.

while the 20b is damn cool, im not a fan of engine swaps really period but esp. outside of the cars manufacture.

Cost and being different. At those power outputs to say that a vq is more reliable is a fairly big call. There's a lot more knowledge of what is needed for the 20b to produce and maintain that power output and at a much better price.
