Just dynoed on saturday at Ride Revolutions in Bristol, TN

he's actually had this engine, which as over 200K on it, turbo'd and making 442 WHP for about a year now, its been to tracks and lots of racing. He beats the shit out of it but it has not blown or showed any signs of weakness. His best time on the old numbers was 7.4 @ 96 mph in the 1/8 mile. And now he is making 528 WHP and wanting to spray on top of that. That dyno run was averaging 12.6 AFR.
His philosophy is, KA's are cheap (50-100 a piece) he'll replace on every week if he has to, but this one is holding. However is next project is to take out that engine and put in the V8 from the Q45 and run two of the Hx40's, shooting for over 1000 WHP. So who knows. |

KA's actually have quite a built bottom end. Not too happy with the revs, but that can be solved with a few tricks.
That said, the CA18 is a bit stronger. Nothing like the L-series of yesteryear though.
