That TA is not a muscle car, ill give you that. In fact TAs and camaros even from the right generation were not pure muscle cars, they were fast but they were refered to as pony cars. Mopar kicked off the muscle car wars but you should relieze GM was a big contender, many question if it was not the greastest actually. You can argue which muscle car was best but you can't argue if it was one or not.

ive noticed a lot of the time when a rice rocket beats american muscle, the rice normally has some serious money spent under the bonnet, whereas the american is stock. then all the rice boys go '**** you usa your cars are shit and rice rules, blah blah blah' If you spend the same amount on a V8, it will mix the rice with some sauce and eat it for breakfast.

dont get me wrong, i do like jap cars, i own one myself, but at the end of the day, compared to something like a viper or trans-am, you still only have a fast peice of shit.

i'm confused man. are you saying japanese cars are peices of shit, or that taking a peice of shit and making it fast still leaves it as a peice of shit?

there's no doubt a stock V8 will, pound for pound in equal vehicles, be dominant against a stock engine of smaller size. that's obvious.

for me though, i can never see a fast as hell car as a peice of shit, no matter how it looks on the outside. if it's fast, then there is some impressive hardware under the skin, which is obviously not shitty. i certainly appreciate a sweet looking car, but image doesn't matter to me.

i own a rwd jap car as it suits my driving style, is reliable, it has a turbo as standard, and was the best car that i could afford. ask me to swap my car for a trans-am /corvette etc... and id snap it right up.

a 89 Corolla has a higher quality interior than a T/A, and doesn't handle like a Baptist Chuch buss with broken leaf springs. Fit n finish that even Yugo would be ashamed of putting out of the factory. 100K miles later, 5 rear ends later, 20 alternators later and 3 water pumps later you own a 30K dollar (when new) car that is worth maybe 2K dollars on a trade in. TAs are semi fast cars, LT1s with automatics are about as fast as 3.5L Maximas (like the one in the video) with a 6spd. 100K miles later, you will put 3 sets of brakes on the car, maybe a tail light bulb. Why don't you compare a Taurus or a Grand Prix GTP to a Max ? Supercharged with flat 15 sec 1/4 miles.....

Maybe the last late model TA you came into contact with was one of a kind cause in 100k miles and you go through 5 rear ends later, 20 alternators and 3 water pumps then either you can't operate the car properly or you have a crooked mech that you bring your car too.

Point is no one is comparing the maxima to the bird, its a sports car to a family sedan, yes its a funny video, when the underdogg wins. If you want a video of a firebird beating a maxima then im sure we could find a few hundred. LOL but no one will post that because its not in the same class as the firebird.

Fact is the firebird is a million times better looking and faster, stock to stock. If you would openly take a 90s maxima to a 90s firebird then that might just qualify you as retarded.
