I don't know about that car but the Australian Gibson Motorsport GTR's used to have a delay in power to the front wheels off the start line. The rear wheels would spin for a short time before the front locked in. This was to reduce stress on the driveline off the start. They were never beaten off the line. Oh how I miss the variety of cars that used to race here.

The Gibson GTR's had a much much bigger selay than the road going GTR's. It was something the team modified to save the driveline. 18 inch rims with circuit slicks is pretty hard on the driveline!
