NOW since the other thread is suddently closed it's damn unfair for me NOT to let me finnish my comment. Sorry webmaster but just let me finnish my words..
HAHA! nx468 Have you been smoken too much NX or what? Why don't you change to NOS insted, maybe it'll make you braighter How many times are you going to repeat your self? Are you dumb? :banghead: OH maybe its because you don't have any more better arguments to come up with? :loser1:OK listen to me fanboy kids. First I never said the Corvette can't handle the corner, they actually do, they do it great, but the "F-body" is another thing; that's an interely nothing but a piece of **** horrible handling physics performnace car no matter how you twist it. Secondly I never said the stock Z06 Corvette can't beat the stock Skyline GTR at a dragstrip. Of course the stock Vette is faster at the 1/4 mile, what do you expect the outcome would be? It should win as the Vette has 100/200 more horsepower and torque. Now learn, basically the Twin Turbo Skyline GTR RB26-DETT engine produces to 500 horsepower, BUT since the Japanese manufactor factory has strict emission regulation for the production car the stock Skyline GTR has been officially detuned down to 280ps to satisfy the gentlmen's horsepower limited agreements. From the factory the detune process for the stock Skyline GTR has been done through decrease the boost pressure, fuel & air restricted, remaped the ECU program, exhaust system etc. you name it. nx468 fanboy, the video you posted abow R32 GTR racing with the F-body is a nice street run, no doubt about that. BUT its still bull*** when you can't provide any spec or information between the two vehicles. For all I know the R32 GTR could've been close to stock and the F-body could've been SUPERCHARGED or the other way around. At least I provided with information and spec between the cars from the video before I do any comparison First of all let me make one thing clear, the Vette and the Skyline GTR are both exceptional high performance vehicles. It's only drivers preferencies and where you are in the world which car is better. They share the same unique reputation & success in racing history and both became legend from their own part of the world. Now nx468 fanboy, the only thing you could come up with is how successful the GT Corvette C5-R did at the American Le Mans series Championship; listen that's "inside America" BUT let me tell you how successful the Corvette C5-R went racing abroad internationally: Once the Corvette C5-R went racing couple of years back at the JGTC "known as the world fastest GT cars" the Corvette C5-R brought NOTHING but EMBARRASMENT to it self and to the almighty GM company in shame. Maybe that's why the car quit competing at the JGTC with honor in hold before any more humiliation The only best American cars to achieve any points what so ever in one seasion was the Mosler MT 900 I remember ended with 3 points and the Dodge Viper GTS-R with "only" 1 point :loser1: nx468 my kiddo fanboy, since you yiblish how successful the Corvette C5-R did at the American La Mans let me tell you how successful the Skyline GTR did both the racing inside and internationally. Listen, the intelligent ATTESSA system is the main icon on the Skyline GTR's technology. Not the system alone but the car's overall performance kept the car at the top in every category in Japan and outside Japan. The Nissan Skyline GTR's AWD ATTESSA E-TS system was considered superior in the beginning of the 90's and kept the car undefeated for 5 years (1989 - 1994) in the Japanese Touring car racing with a record of 29 wins out of 29 races in one season; it has never been achieved before in Japanese motor sport history. For example from 1991 -1997 the Skyline was undefeated in N1 endurance racing in Japan, winning 50 times. The same success was shown outside Japan at the La Mans 24h Nurburgring and SPA FRANCORCHAMPS endurance race around the same period of time. Where ever the Nissan Skyline GTR went racing it crushes the opposition. Because of its dominance, the Skyline was given its own series in 1994 the JGTC, (Japan GT car) series plus new rules to ban the Skyline GTR's AWD ATTESSA system from competing. The same rules was used in the Austrailian GT Championship so the car could be outlawed BUT still it kept winning with its rear wheel drive performance characteristic. The success of the Skyline GTR kept to the last race at the JGTC in 2003 (and winning). Let me take another example from an article: "Its success in motor racing was formidable, particularly in the annual race at the Mount Panorama circuit in Bathurst, Australia, where the champion three years running was a GT-R (despite receiving additional weight penalties in years two and three due to its unbeatable performance) and in the Japanese GT series where it has remained dominant up to the present day. The GT-R's success at Mount Panorama led to a change in formula regulations, which came to exclude turbocharged and four-wheel-drive cars in subsequent years. It also led indirectly to the creation of the JGTC touring car series in Japan, where GT-Rs can only compete in rear-wheel drive form (and still win)" Another the thing where ever the Skyline GTR is legal the car seems to dominate the tuners world completly, stays at the top competing in every catagory weather it is handling, road course, straight line, reliabity or the streets. Even Jeremy Clarkson from the Top Gear ranked the Skyline GTR as top number 8 from the Top 100 Performance Cars of the century, that's gotta be something The best American cars on the list was the Dodge Viper I remember at 48 th place but NO Corvette :loser1: LINK (Click ME!): History Peek Video Preview of the Skyline GTR in the Beginning of the 90's Do you fanboy kids want to hear anything more from me? OH yeah lets talk about the Nurburgring time. Oh in advanced don't give me the bull**** comparing a brand new 2006 C6 Z06 Vette that isn't out yet with another in general 17 years older Skyline GTR. OK as said lets rather compare stock for stock with Skyline R34 GTR V.spec II Nur with 100 more less horsepower then a C5 Z06 Vette. Its more right to compare the vehicles basically because they're both close to each other in age EVEN tho the stock Z5 Z06 Vette has 100 more horsepower then the stock Skyline R34 GTR V.spec II Nur. First before I reviel the time between the two cars running at the Nurburgring let me just remaind you back in 1995 the Skyline R33 GTR was the first production car in the world to run the Nurburgring in under 8 minutes, spesific time at 7:59 seconds by Pro Ring Maister Dirk Schoisman Later from the Best Motoring officially also manage to run in 8:01 seconds. Now 7 years later in 2002 the stock "Nissan Skyline R34 GTR V.spec II Nur" manage to run the Ring in 7:52 seconds. OK here comes the surprise everyone, guess what the stock C5 Z06 Vette does at the ring with "100 more in horsepower" (in 2002/2003)? Excited to know, let me reviel: The C5 Z06 Vette did the Nurburgring in 7:56 seconds THAT's 4 seconds slower then a stock Skyline R34 GTR V.spec II Nur with 100 more less in horsepower OOOH let me reviel another performance time at the Ring with a normal C5 Vette, it did 8:40 seconds :loser1: OH by the way, the same performance is proven on this video on track: JUST look at the end RESULT! LINK (Click ME): JDM Skyline R34 GTR vs. World All Star Z51 Corvette ENOUGH of embarrasment fanboy kids. I hope you boys finally understand what real performance IS and NOT just going fast at the straight line at a dragstrip with amount of redicolus huge power only. NOW GO TO BED! :mecry:

wow even after all those words i still dont care.
you had plenty of pages to explain your point. Do not make new threads about locked threads. GTRJack, Make an Introduction post http://www.tremek.com/forum/welcome-car-fanatics/ Last edited by American Psycho; 28 Sep 2005 at 07:00 pm. |
