You guys dont even realise how many songs are covers...

95% of Dr Dre's beats are old old school swing songs and 60's malt shop love songs remixed... Same goes for Fitty...

Not a single new rock band has had pure songs, whether its the riffs or the lyrics...

Im not saying its cool to "cover" songs
All im saying is Celine Dion deserves alot better than most singers out there.

tis true, almost all rappers are copy cats. I have to disagree a little bit on the new rock stuff, bands like "red" and "corrosion of conformity" are very original sounding IMO. Ozzy stuff all sounds the same to me, I like his stuff, but I think he is very original from his newest to his oldest.

Ya, It's true. For example that new killswitch song "Holy Diver" is a Dio cover. I think it sucks!!!! The original is way better I think. To winy and not metal enough for me.

Its the good bands that take something that they hear in a song and it sparks an idea. It seems like everything new is born in the past
