Its actually quite hard to do left foot braking...since your other foot is still on the gas pedal also...weird huh...![]() |

i think what bald0 means is why do they tap the brakes while approaching a braking point but before the actual braking. are they just making sure they're there? in almost every best motoring vid they do this. there's gotta be a reasonable explanation for it...I just dont know what that is.
cool vid, watching it now*edit* ok, finished. awesome stuff but i have a another question. there is a little box with a view of his foot work in the bottom left. thats normal but there is a little one on top of that that seems to be looking out the window from the console. wtf is that for? ![]() Last edited by mattlikespeople; 14 Feb 2005 at 04:08 pm. |

ok the reason he taps the brakes with his left foot while on the gas is to preload the brakes so he has a positive feel when braking. if you were to go from one hard braking imediately to another you will notice that your brake pedal nearly drops to the floor and you lose the braking feel. if you are to double tap your your brakes the pedal feels higher up and you have your brake feel back. he taps the pedal just enough to get ready for the next corner but not enough to slow the car if you watch he does it just before he is about to brake for a corner. racers do this to just before every corner to have good brake feel and power. watch some german touring car , lemans, rolex sports car series, or japanese touring car series. you will see that almost all of the drivers do this. try it in your own car if you have power brakes you will notice the difference. hope that answers your question. bella ..... <=====Nerd lol racer without the means or money.
