They use it alot in NASCAR on the road corses. They also dont use the clutch for downshifting.

yeah focus, thats a good point. that method doesnt have much of an effect in my mini, but in the Volvo it makes everything easier

yeah... perfect rev-matching is a bit difficult for most of us on this forum tho

It's called "Hell -Toe" technic. As u know most horse power in high RPM (5,000 to 8,000 RPM) when driver is braking RPM goes down so they push brakes and gas(to keep RPM at around 5,000 rebs) u can accelerate much faster with 5,000 rpm then witn 1.000. Sorry my english is not good but i think i help u little

Also if you power brake in a turn you can provoke the tail to come out if done right.
